Raksha works towards healing, empowerment, and justice for South Asian Survivors of violence. Raksha's mission is to promote a stronger and healthier South Asian community through confidential support services, education, and advocacy. Raksha provides counseling, advocacy, referrals, and financial and in-kind donation assistance to survivors of violence crimes which include but are not limited to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking in the state of Georgia. Rakksha also provides outreach and education to the South Asian and other connected communities on the above types of violence as wells as information on resources and rights. Raksha also provides training and technical assistance to professionals on cultural competency/responsiveness for underserved and marginalized communities, language access for survivors, immigration relief for survivors and information on resources for immigrant and refugee communities.
