The vision of Ridge Area Src is to be the best, consumer-focused provider of services for individuals with developmental and other disabilities in Highlands and the surrounding counties.

Goals

1. 1.Increase Access and Capacity • Expand residential options to underserved regions or counties. • Increase the number of supported living units by 25% over the next 2 years. • Develop partnerships with housing authorities and private landlords to secure affordable, accessible housing.
2. 2.Enhance Person-Centered Services • Implement individualized support plans that reflect each resident’s goals, preferences, and strengths. • Introduce new life skills training modules (e.g., budgeting, cooking, transportation). • Ensure all staff are trained in trauma-informed care and cultural competency.
3. 3.Strengthen Workforce Development • Recruit and retain qualified direct support professionals through competitive wages, benefits, and career pathways. • Launch a mentorship and peer support program for new staff. • Provide ongoing professional development in areas like positive behavior support and assistive technology.
