We are a member agency of Meals on Wheels America. We actively participate in the Sarasota Community Organizations Active in Disaster and the Sarasota Community Alliance. We are also members of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and the local chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Florida Public Relations Association.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
In August 2022, the board of directors, with the Finance Committee, evaluated the organization’s financial reporting systems. The assessment resulted in significant changes to the organization’s structure and outsourced daily financial operations to an accounting firm that previously prepared our annual audit. Due to this transition, a new CPA firm will perform our 2022 audit which will include a Risk Assessment and was complete in May 2023. The board hired an Executive Director in November 2023 and entered a partnership with Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s Invest In Incredible program. A situation analysis identified the following organizational priorities: financial management, human resources, information management, and governance. A plan was initiated for consulting services in these sectors which will culminate with a board retreat to develop a strategic plan in Fall 2023.
