Alfalit International

Alfalit is a faith-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization registered in the State of Florida. Founded in 1961 by missionaries Eulalia Cook, Justo & Luisa Gonzalez, Alfalit creates hope & opportunity through literacy & education to improve individual lives, raise self-esteem, and share the love of Jesus Christ. Our award-winning programs include literacy, basic education, preschool education, job skills training, & conversational English in 15 countries in Africa, Central & South America, & Europe. We compassionately target impoverished and often remote areas to help residents achieve a better life for themselves & their families. In the U.S., we offer a special program for immigrants in Spanish literacy & conversational English. Typically, we serve 45,000-50,000 students per year. Since its inception, Alfalit has taught over 8 million people to read and write.

Alfalit recognizes the importance of trained for effective program implementation. Therefore, the organization provides comprehensive training programs for the staff involved in the literacy initiatives. Through these programs, staff acquire the necessary skills to successfully manage and deliver the Alfalit educational services. Strategic Planning Training session are available for the staff, this training provides valuable tools and insights for, allowing the organization to plan and execute more effectively to achieve the annual goals. Providing trained leadership ensures that the programs are effectively implemented and managed. The presence of experienced staff helps to maintain program quality and address any challenges that may arise. Additionally, having a successful literacy curriculum tailored to the target communities specific needs enhances the education initiative's effectiveness.

Alfalit cultivates relationships and networking with local countries Ministry of Education to secure funding awards. Additionally, we are partnering with other private non-profit organizations to implement our literacy programs. To increase awareness of our mission, we are utilizing online platforms and social media and implementing other marketing activities. Alfalit established partnerships in the countries with local educational institutions, such as universities and colleges, to tap into their resources and expertise. This can involve collaborating on research projects, sharing facilities and resources, and involving students and faculty members in program delivery. By leveraging the knowledge and infrastructure of educational institutions, Alfalit recognizes the value of raising awareness and utilizes the available resources of media, and local community outreach to promote the available programs in each country.
