Mission

Founded in 1981, Feeding South Florida's mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education. Feeding South Florida is the leading domestic hunger-relief organization serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.

A hunger-free South Florida in which families have transitioned from dependency to self‑sufficiency.

Goals

1.NOURISH 1. Secure enough food so all families have immediate/reliable access to nutritious food and make healthy choices 2. Identify and incorporate all available resources to provide food/meals beyond food distribution
2.CONVENE 1. Inspire people, partners, and policy makers to participate and take action in advocacy efforts 2. Engage volunteers, Board, donors, media, and the community to be part of the solution
3.EMPOWER 1. Provide individuals the tools and training needed for economic mobility and financial security 2. Secure the resources needed to expand innovative programs
