Mission

St. Francis House To engage vulnerable families and single adults without housing in compassion, shelter, and opportunity driven programming to ensure their homelessness is rare, brief, and one time. Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center To provide services that nurture potential, promote self-esteem, and support youth in moving beyond the streets.

Goals

1.In 2025–2026, we will increase access to emergency shelter through a new Family Shelter at St. Francis Housing Crisis Center and strengthen trauma-informed, life-skills programming at Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center to better support youth facing homelessness and growing mental health challenges.
2.St. Augustine Society is developing new evidence-informed frameworks in response to rising family homelessness, youth mental health needs, and growing adult complexities. These frameworks strengthen housing stability, life skills, and well-being, and we are also exploring a Street Academy initiative to support youth without a high school diploma.
3.St. Augustine Society is strengthening its organizational capacity to better collect, analyze, and use data to guide program improvements. This investment improves financial and management systems, supports continuous quality improvement, and ensures we can deliver more effective, client-centered services across all programs.
