The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: In an effort to ensure longterm sustainability, MAPS is committed to reviewing all programs within the organization to ensure alignment of the mission. By reviewing the core programs operations, we can analyze where the most resources are needed while scaling back/pausing other programs for longevity. The programs have been reviewed during the Q1 budgeting process, and will be revisited in Q3.
Goal Two: MAPS is investing in the capacity of our organization by analyzing the current leadership. Through robust conversations with the Board, directors and stakeholders - MAPS has made a critical decision to launch an Executive Director search. The current Executive Director, Kris Lotlikar, will pivot to supporting the organization in a fundraising capacity specifically.
Goal Three: During the Executive Director search, Betty Aldworth and Ismail Lourido Ali, long-standing movement leaders and MAPS program directors, will lead the organization as Interim Co-Executive Directors. Together, Betty and Ismail bring decades of deep expertise in drug policy, advocacy, community engagement, and movement building, ensuring continuity in MAPS’ mission-driven work.
