NAMI is an acronym for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Pinellas County, Florida, provides free education classes, free support groups, public outreach, and a network of dedicated volunteer members and leaders advocating for access to services, treatment, support, and research. The organization remains steadfast in its commitment to raising awareness and building a community of hope for those in need. Educational classes and support groups are facilitated by trained volunteers with lived experience.
