THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO DEVELOP, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA. THEY ALSO OVERSEE THE MANAGEMENT OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE SITES LOCATED THROUGHOUT CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
