Dreams Come True is Northeast Florida's only locally-based dream granting organization dedicated to using the power of a dream to bring hope and joy to EVERY First Coast child battling a life-threatening medical condition. Since 1984, Dreams Come True has fulfilled the dreams of more than 5,000 children. Dreams provide brave children and their families with a momentary reprieve from the rigors of medical treatment often associated with life-threatening illnesses. A dream temporarily removes the child from doctor visits, hospital stays, tests and needles and brings laughter, joy and childhood to the forefront. Dreams Come True also provides additional opportunities and services to children and families before and following their dream trips. These opportunities are considered the moments in between and include tickets to sporting events, concerts and other special events, while also providing food and gifts during the holiday season. Unless otherwise designated by the donor, Dreams Come True applies 100% of all donations toward children's dreams.
