The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation actively engages in partnerships with other pediatric oncology organizations and nonprofits to better the lives of those tackling childhood cancer. This includes partnering with other pediatric oncology nonprofits to help bolster the services we provide, partnering with treatment facilities to fill gaps in the needs of childhood cancer families, and using social media platforms to raise awareness of our mission.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation prides itself on being nimble and flexible to quickly meet the most pressing needs of our pediatric oncology families. During the pandemic, we increased the amount of financial support provided to each family and changed our eligibility requirements so that families who would normally not qualify for financial support could receive help. In 2021, we launched a new program designed to support the needs of caregivers, called Caregiver Care – creating opportunities for caregivers to connect and recharge. In 2022, the Jay Fund has been actively working to address the impact the rising costs of food and gasoline prices have had on pediatric oncology families. Families faced with the unthinkable and dealing with the high costs of medical treatment have recently been faced with the added stress of rising food and gasoline prices. To help combat these additional costs, we have increased the amount of financial support we provide to families for supermarket and gas station gift cards.
