    Neighborhood Health Clinic

    Mission

Founded in 1999 by Dr. Bill and Nancy Lascheid, Neighborhood Health Clinic delivers high-quality medical care to low-income, working but uninsured Collier County adults through volunteer clinical professionals and private philanthropy. Collier County has a three-layered healthcare model—Layer One hospital systems that serve individuals with financial means and adequate healthcare coverage, Layer Two federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) that offer sliding-scale care supported by federal funding, and Layer Three Neighborhood Health Clinic, the safety net of the safety nets. The Clinic provides care for patients who would otherwise fall through the cracks, at no cost and without government funding. Services include ongoing primary and specialty care, chronic disease management, on-site prescription medications, laboratory and diagnostic imaging, and education for qualified patients, including diabetes self-management and other health and wellness programs, all provided in a caring, supportive environment that respects the dignity of every patient.
