The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
“We could have never anticipated that a global pandemic would substantially impact the need for financial assistance in 2020, or that our mission of helping to save pets’ lives could ever matter more. Many families experienced unprecedented economic hardships as a result of COVID-19, trying their best just to make ends meet. Our fear was that veterinary care would fall to the bottom of the priority list and pets would suffer without proper veterinary care, be relinquished to shelters, or worse, be euthanized as a result of their family’s inability to afford the veterinary care needed in the event of an unexpected emergency or life-threatening diagnosis.
In spite of all of this, our team, donors and supporters showed an unwavering commitment to our mission and stepped up to the challenge. Without ever losing focus of how great the need for our assistance was, we worked to utilize every skill we had in our arsenal to not only face the adversity and unforeseen changes head on, but to successfully exceeded our revenue goals, ensuring the pets that needed help received the assistance required to save their lives.
We used best practices and traditional fundraising techniques while also thinking outside the box, adapting to the changes and rolling with the punches to make sure families didn’t have to make the choice between putting a roof over their heads or saving their pets’ lives.
It wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated team and the donors who believed in our mission. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who contributed to our success, so that together we could help save more pets’ lives.
