Danita's Children

Mission

Founded by Danita Estrella-Watts in 1999, Danita's Children/Hope for Haiti Children's Center rescues, loves and cares for orphans and impoverished children in Haiti, meeting their physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs so they are empowered to become leaders in their communities and their nation. Located in the northeastern area of Haiti, Danita's Children has raised over 100 orphans. A school provides an education to 350 children and 18,000 meals are fed each month through the feeding program. A church provides spiritual hope to the community through a congregation of 500 people. The Danita's Children's Children's Hospital sees nearly 8,000 patients annually in the three-story, 17,000 square foot facility that is a place of healing. Children and families travel to the hospital from across the country for care, as our medical staff is able to diagnose patients with on-site radiology and lab equipment and treat patients with an on-site pharmacy
