Vision

To see 80% of dogs and cats spayed/neutered and microchipped by 2035, in order to reduce our stray and unwanted pet population by as much as 80%.

Goals

1. 1.Establish a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in Logan County: This essential service is not currently available and is a major cause of our extreme pet overpopulation. Affordable, accessible spay/neuter must be easily and readily available to all Logan County citizens and will be a key factor in reducing the stray/unwanted pet population.
2. 2.Free microchipping across the county: We plan to expand our free microchipping events that are currently held quarterly at the Humane Society into monthly events held at various locations across the county. Promoting and normalizing microchipping for all dogs and cats will dramatically reduce the number of shelter pets by increasing pet/owner reunification.
3. 3.Comprehensive, county-wide TNVR: The community cat population in Logan County is out of control and Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return is the only way to fix this problem. By expanding our existing TNVR programs broadly across the entire county by sterilizing every cat, colony by colony, we will drastically reduce the number of unwanted kittens born and increase the quality of life for our outdoor cats.
