Mission

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We recognize that while all youth have equal potential, they do not have equal opportunity. Since 1967, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana has operated under the belief that inherent in every young person is the ability to achieve their full potential and thrive.

Goals

1.Our 1-to-1 mentor services served ages 7–17; however, data and feedback show a great need for continued support ages 18+. In response, we created the Big Futures program to serve young adults up to age 25.
2.For the first time in our agency's history we are launching a strategic communications campaign. Its' goal is to recruit 200 new volunteer mentors.
3.By recruiting 200 new mentors, we will be able to serve 200 more young people currently waiting for a mentor. This strategic growth will increase impact and improve access to 1-to-1 mentor services.
