Recently, our Chief Programs Officer was selected as a member of the Leadership Louisville 22-23 cohort. We provide on-site training to our staff throughout the year on relevant topics. Our most recent training was on how to best support youth with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. Professional memberships are paid for by the agency based on skills, resources, and time.

Our team presents at conferences including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America's national conference, regularly. We partner with various community nonprofits throughout the 10 counties throughout Kentucky and Indiana that we serve. Our first ever strategic communications campaign called It Takes Two is launching this year, increasing our marketing activities, media engagement, and social media presence.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Our agency is expanding services to better engage youth and families waiting to be matched with a mentor. Due to the immense demand for services, youth often wait months before being matched with a mentor who is intentionally selected to best meet the needs and preferences of every youth. With the help of community partners, we are planning quarterly events for both youth and their families while they are on the waitlist. Events range from educational activities to arts and culture or sporting experiences appealing to both youth and their families. These events will also be used as a recruitment tool to attract new Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
