Mission

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank (CAFB) was founded in 1972 as an outgrowth of a task force on hunger issues led by area congregations and civic-minded leaders. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank's mission is to lead a network of partners and unite the community to eliminate hunger by feeding, nourishing, and empowering those we serve.

1.We will increase the capacity and efficiency of our network to enable greater and more equitable impact in our service area, while providing access to nutritious, desirable food.
2.The Chattanooga Area Food Bank has a goal to increase awareness, ignite public passion, and mobilize our community in the fight to end hunger.
3.The Chattanooga Area Food Bank is committed to improving service adequacy for community partners and building pathways to long-term stability and self-sufficiency for the people we serve.
