Mission

At the Dickson County Help Center, we believe no one should have to face a crisis alone. Since 1978, we have been providing immediate relief and Christlike support to Dickson County residents in need. Our mission remains simple and direct: to provide food, financial assistance, disaster relief, and essential resources with dignity and compassion.

1.We are making it possible for families in need to apply for assistance through technology, as well as in person and over the phone. We are also looking to add after-hours refrigerated lockers so that individuals who work during the day will have a way to pick up food that we provide for them.
2.We are looking for ways to help families facing homelessness become self-sufficient through a series of programs, including housing, education, and employment.
3.In 2025, we served 7,454 households and 21,321 individuals with 11,249 instances of assistance. That growth was driven by investments in our leadership. We created a Food Logistics Manager role to oversee food sourcing, inventory, and distribution, freeing our Client Services Manager to focus on intake and financial assistance. We are currently looking at additional opportunities for growth.
