Mission

The Elephant Sanctuary exists to provide elephants with individualized care, the companionship of a herd, and the opportunity to live out their lives in a safe haven dedicated to their well-being; and to raise public awareness of the complex needs of elephants, and the crisis facing elephants in the wild.

Vision

The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee creates a better world for all elephants through improved welfare and commitment to conservation.

Goals

1.Make A Better World for Elephants Provide herd, home and optimal lifelong care for elephants, meeting their changing needs as they age, while improving our knowledge and our ability to better their lives.
2.Heighten Awareness Increase public knowledge and engagement regarding the threats facing elephants through creative interpretation, messaging, and storytelling.
3.Build Leadership & Team Capacity Develop team and expand capability, processes, and planning to sustain quality standards and accommodate Sanctuary and program growth.
