    Mission

    What started as an orphanage in 1890 in Summerfield, Alabama as the United Methodist Children’s Home (UMCH) has grown to serve thousands of children and families throughout Alabama and Northwest Florida as Embrace Alabama Kids (EAK) and Embrace Florida Kids (EFK). In response to God’s Word, we embrace and nurture vulnerable children and families by providing homes, healing, and hope. We are a network of group homes, foster homes, and family service providers. In 2024, we served 3,842 babies, children, teens, young adults, and parents through our many successful programs.
