Several of the Family Success Center's programs go into the school system to deliver programming. Though these programs still saw the same if not more amount of students, it did move to virtual learning for several schools.

The Family Success Center moved to telehealth services for mental health services when needed, created virtual programming when needed, and moved to virtual training for schools.

The Family Success Center of Etowah County serves all of Etowah County's families. The majority of the families fall well beneath the poverty level. We also serve youth through 3 programs to teach them about healthy relationship, character development, and child abuse prevention.

Through feedback, we have changed and grown programs, added programs that assist in areas that are not being met locally, added translators, answered the call for community food gardens, and began to address issues with food insecurity through food banks in schools, and adding times of handing out food in our low-income areas.

It is difficult to get the people we serve to respond to requests for feedback, We don't have the right technology to collect and aggregate feedback efficiently, It is difficult to find the ongoing funding to support feedback collection
Briefly describe a recent change that your organization made in response to feedback from the people you serve.
During our most recent assessments, we learned that teenagers were suffering from food insecurity in large numbers. 1 and 4 individuals were dealing with food insecurity in Alabama. The Family Success Center recently started a food pantry at the largest high school in Etowah County where teenagers can discreetly receive food and hygiene products for themselves or family members. We also learned that individuals were struggling to find places to vote, the Family Success Center held several voter registration and census events in 2020.

The Family Success Center has begun a city/county wide campaign which works with Downtown Gadsden and local business to promote Child Abuse Awareness. Created videos that have been shared throughout the state about Healthy Relationships and Child Abuse. Have partnered with Universities to provide training for staff and community in areas of diversity.
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The Family Success Center never stopped working during the Covid-10 Pandemic. Face to face visits moved to Video Conferences, our educators moved to being Zoomed into classrooms, a food pantry was opened at the Center and at a local high school to help families who were struggling with food insecurity. Appointments were still held, but were moved into a classroom where everyone could social distance. We double classes at the Center to create more social distancing and still serve all of the clients needed, and even opened two new programs to increase access to mental health help for those struggling.
