Mission

American Family Association (AFA), a non-profit organization, was founded in 1977 by Donald E. Wildmon. The original name of the ministry was National Federation for Decency but was changed to American Family Association in 1988.<br><br>Today, AFA is led by AFA President Tim Wildmon, and it continues as one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country with hundreds of thousands of supporters.<br><br>The mission of the American Family Association is to inform, equip, and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture, and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission.<br><br>It is AFA's goal to be a champion of Christian activism.
