Mission

Founded in 1988, The Florida Youth Orchestra (FYO) is the area's only regional children's arts organization. FYO is highly regarded for its commitment to the finest quality music education, widespread community engagement, and sensitivity to the musical, social and emotional needs of children. All Florida Youth Orchestra's mission is to educate, inspire and build the self-esteem of musically gifted and at-risk students to become productive, caring and responsible adults and to uplift South Florida's diverse community with quality music performances. It was founded in the year 1988.
