Seeking to put God’s love into action, Indian River Habitat for Humanity develops housing solutions guided by the needs of its family partners and the community.
We partner with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our Fiscal Year 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing. (Less)

Indian River Habitat has built six housing communities in IRC in the past 30 years. Each of those communities has a homeowners association (HOA). Based on feedback recently received that we IRHabitat is not supportive of our communities HOAs, IRHabitat has recently come alongside the Board members of the HOA to support them in their efforts to beautify their neighborhood and to assist them in building community.

Our Director of Outreach and Impact is a voting member of the Affordable Housing Advocacy Committee and he participates in a number of other community advocacy groups. We are also connected to other service nonprofits, e.g. United Against Poverty, who are able to steer residents in need to us, in a collaborative effort to provide full services.
