Vision

Remaining true to its mission to delight, inspire, and educate the community, South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) presents in-person concerts and events for audiences across the South Florida region, including Monroe, Miami-Dade, and Broward Counties—serving tens of thousands of community members annually. Through its Masterworks Concert Series and other performances, SFSO features acclaimed soloists such as celebrated cellists, pianists, and violinists, performing works ranging from beloved classics to contemporary premieres. In addition, the Symphony’s transformative music education initiative, Symphony in the Schools, introduces thousands of culturally underserved students to the magic of live classical music each season.

Goals

1. 1.Expand access to orchestral music across South Florida by growing audience engagement, refining branding, and increasing educational outreach and concert programming in Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
2. 2.Strengthen SFSO’s organizational capacity by building financial sustainability, enhancing internal systems, and investing in staff and infrastructure to support growth and long-term mission delivery.
3. 3.Broaden the impact of music education by expanding Symphony in the Schools and other outreach programs to reach more Title 1 students, underserved communities, and new schools across South Florida.
