Mission

COPAA'S MISSION IS TO BE A NATIONAL VOICE FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION RIGHTS AND TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN ADVOCACY. THE PRIMARY GOAL IS TO SECURE HIGH QUALITY EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES.

Vision

No student should have to fight for a "free and appropriate" education. At COPAA, we are working towards a future where every student has an education that helps them to learn and grow.

Goals

1.Increase engagement with and capacity to serve historically underserved populations. When parents of students of color with disabilities are informed and empowered, educational outcomes improve.
2.Partner with other national organizations to increase educator and stakeholder capacity to serve students with disabilities. Systemic change requires multi-levels of pressure and impact.
3.Dramatically increase ambitious outcomes for students with disabilities. When students with disabilities receive the services, supports, and accommodations needed to succeed, outcomes improve.
