Mission

San Francisco Baykeeper holds polluters accountable and defends San Francisco Bay. We patrol on the water, investigate and stop polluters, and strengthen laws to protect the Bay. For more than 30 years, our lawyers, scientists, and policy advocates have defended San Francisco Bay from the biggest threats – and won.

Vision

San Francisco Baykeeper defends the health and resilience of San Francisco Bay. Our goals are to achieve a healthy Bay and shoreline communities, sustain wildlife in the Bay, and build a resilient future for all who enjoy the Bay for its beauty, recreational opportunities, and central role to life in the Bay Area.

Goals

2.Make the Bay resilient to climate change. Baykeeper defends the Bay from sea level rise and toxic shorelines. We advocate for open, resilient shorelines and protecting communities from flooding.
3.Expand legal staffing to protect the Bay. Baykeeper is adding a new attorney that will support legal action to protect the Bay from toxic polluters and advocacy to make the Bay more resilient.
