Vision

Every child in the California child welfare and juvenile justice systems who needs advocacy will have the transformative support of a CASA volunteer.

Goals

1. 1.California CASA makes sure all 44 local programs are sustainable and have what they need to thrive. Support comes in many forms and our aim is to craft tailored solutions that meet the needs of CASA programs large and small. We promote collaboration through communication tools and specialized technical assistance and create systems to share program specific resources across the entire network.
2. 2.California CASA is honored to be an active voice for our network, advocating at the state level. We raise the visibility of the CASA mission and the needs of children and youth in foster care through large-scale, statewide marketing campaigns, public service announcements, social media outreach, public relations, and strategic partnerships.
3. 3.We recognize that disparities and disproportionality often impact the children we advocate for, and that CASA volunteers are uniquely positioned to interrupt these patterns. Our team led a published, groundbreaking study on the impact of CASA volunteers on children involved in the juvenile justice system.
