Mission

On Point partners with schools and communities to cultivate the strengths in youth and guide them on their path to thrive. On Point works by providing young people with the knowledge and on-going support they need to avoid risky behaviors and equips them with the skills they need to thrive. Each year, On Point reaches approximately 10,000 middle and high school adolescents in Southeast Tennessee through our holistic and multifaceted Life, Think, Community Schools, Academic Support, and Teen Advisory Board program models. On Point cultivates in our students a clear vision for a bright future, academic attachment, healthy choices, resistance to negative peer pressure, and positive peer support. For more than 30 years, On Point has utilized evaluation expertise, and our Life outcomes were published in The Journal of Adolescent and Family Health. Qualitative and quantitative assessments inform our program development as we work towards our audacious vision, "All youth connected and thriving." In addition to impacting our local communities, On Point's curriculum is used in over 40 states and 15 countries.
