Vision

Our vision is for a regenerative ocean that supports all life on Earth.

Goals

1. 1.Establish a global network of well-trained ocean science practitioners supported through well-designed adaptation and mitigation policies designed in partnership with TOF. This includes ensuring equity for developing nation scientists and that they have a seat and voice in co-development, implementation, and publishing from ocean science research.
2. 2.Sequester/store carbon via nature-based solutions by restoring and conserving critical blue carbon habitats (seagrass, mangrove, and salt marsh estuaries) and implementing seaweed-based regenerative agricultural practices.
3. 3.Develop & synthesize science for national policy and to influence the proposed UN treaty on plastic pollution under negotiation with a focus on the polymers and additives used in plastics. This will ensure that plastic is re-engineered to be Safe, Simple, and Standardized. Co-lead the End Plastic Pollution International Collaborative, to create public-private opportunities.
