2.The school has 180 girls for the 2024 school year (in Kenya the school year is set by the calendar year). The need for quality education for girls is growing greater by the day. At Light of Hope we have the land/structures to double, even triple the number of beneficiaries but currently lack the funding to add more.
3.The Light of Hope core program is a home & school for girls called Borders. These girls have no families, or the government has taken away parents' rights for reasons of abuse/neglect. The Borders live at LOH full time & are provided all of their needs. Secondly, it is a school and the girls who attend just the school portion then go home at night are Day scholars. More Borders as core program.
