Mission

Guitars and Ukes in the Classroom (GITC) empowers educators and students of all ages and abilities to make music that strengthens learning, belonging, and well-being. Through training in hands-on, inclusive music that enhances teaching any subject, GITC builds caring classrooms where every learner can engage, create, and thrive.

Vision

We envision the time when every teacher, specialist, parent, and student has access to learning or teaching through music as a vital and integral part of developing authentic self-expression, approaching everyday learning with joy and creativity, from preschool through high school.

Goals

1.Demand for our core programs is increasing. Our goal is to build our capacity to scale so we can increase access to our programs.
2.Being responsive to the needs of the community we serve is at the core of our mission.
3.An important goal is to expand our operational support to allow us to achieve goals 1 and 2
