Providence House

Mission

Providence House is an emergency shelter and residential development center for homeless families with children, providing comprehensive support services for improving the family structure and moving the family into independent living to break the homeless cycle. The singular aim of the program is to break the cycle of homelessness by helping families gain the resources necessary to move into independent living, permanently. The Providence House program has a beginning and an ending. It is structured, yet flexible. Our holistic approach evaluates all areas of each family's life and develops a plan with the family that will move them to their highest level of self sufficiency.

Vision

Imagine… A Community Where No Family is Homeless. Our vision is to be a catalyst for change so no family in our community is homeless. We fulfill our vision by providing all families an opportunity to thrive as equal members of our community by engaging them to perform acts of compassion, empowerment, and advocacy.

1.Our 4-Star, 100% STEAM Child Development Center prepares children for kindergarten. Our Adult HiSET Program helps adults earn a HS diploma. Opportunities offered to residents and the community.
2.Workforce Development provides individuals with the skills, credentials, and resources necessary to obtain a living and sustainable wage and be productive citizens in a growing, global economy.
3.Housing is crucial in breaking the homeless cycle. Ground will break in 2024 on a new, modern structure with ample space for housing, education, WFD training, and supportive services.
