Mission

For 75 years, Today's Harbor for Children has provided resources, support, and guidance to children in crisis at its residential community in La Porte, Texas. The organization has been a reliable changemaker and safe haven for abused and neglected children throughout the southeast Texas region. Each year, Today's Harbor serves children who are rescued from unsafe and unhealthy living environments due to their caregivers' dangerous behavioral issues.<br><br>The Harbor provides a family-like structure in individual cottage homes for children that empowers them to overcome self-destructive patterns of behavior, break cycles of abuse, further their education, and develop social skills.
