Mission

Founded in 1924, the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Houston SPCA) is Houston's first and largest animal protection organization and shelter. We stand by our mission to improve and protect the lives of animals in our community and to alleviate their suffering and abuse. The Houston SPCA provides quality, humane care to companion, farm, equine, wild, and exotic animals. We proudly place 100% of our healthy adoptable animals into new homes.
