San Antonio Food Bank

Mission

The mission of the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) is to fight hunger in southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy. As its efforts in the community evolve, San Antonio Food Bank aspires to help provide: • Increased employment and job retention • Increased food access for households experiencing hunger • Access to secure, affordable housing programs • Comprehensive nutrition and financial education

Vision

The San Antonio Food Bank envisions a region: where food insecure households are nourished with a balanced diet of perishable and nonperishable food to improve overall health and well-being, where the meal gap is closed for low-income families, and where there is full employment that offers a living wage for those who are able to work.
