Mission

The Geological Society of America Foundation (GSAF) was created in December of 1980 for the purpose of securing funds for activities and programs of the Geological Society of America (GSA or Society). The GSAF staff and a volunteer Board of Trustees seek and accept supporting gifts and donations of cash and other instruments in support of GSA's greatest needs which, at present, include: Research Grants, Mentor Programs, Congressional Science Fellow, GeoCorps, Field Forums and Education and Outreach Programs.
