Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas

Mission

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and their families. For more than 31 years Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas has been providing a home- away-from-home for families with critically ill or injured children receiving treatment at Central Texas hospitals. Our family-centered care supports the healing process for children, reduces financial burdens for families, provides critical psycho-social support, enhances clinical outcomes and helps families resume normal activities more quickly. Through the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, RMHC CTX provides resources so families can stay together during a time of greatest need. The Happy Wheels Cart program brings items directly to families in the hospitals. The Healing Hearts program supports families who have lost children by providing financial burial assistance and bereavement counseling.
