We envision a future where access to oral health care is not determined by circumstance, and where dentists lead the effort to eliminate oral health disparities

Goals

1. 1.Dentists Who Care will expand access to urgent dental care by increasing the number of uninsured and low-income patients served through the SMILE Voucher Program in Cameron, Hidalgo, Willacy, and Starr counties. The organization will grow its volunteer dentist network and referral partnerships to reduce untreated dental pain and infection in underserved communities.
2. 2.Dentists Who Care will launch a new transportation support program to address access barriers caused by limited mobility and lack of reliable transportation. With additional funding, the organization will outsource transportation services to ensure patients can attend dental appointments and complete treatment through the SMILE Program.
3. 3.Dentists Who Care will invest in strengthening organizational capacity by enhancing financial systems, management practices, and technical infrastructure. This investment will improve efficiency, accountability, and service delivery, enabling the organization to expand programs, better support volunteers, and increase the number of patients served through the SMILE Program.
