Staff participate in a host of network activities with their peers, listening groups, community fairs and exhibits. Inform and educate on various media platforms by written word and video. Engage elected officials to come alongside in delivering meals and meet their constituents while educating on senior adults and disabled of why Meals on Wheels exists in serving the communities/counties.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
At the onset of the health pandemic (COVID-19) the organization took necessary actions to minimize exposure and risk to our clients. Home-Delivered meal service went from daily delivery to once-a-week providing five frozen meals. Volunteers were not permitted to deliver for almost eight (8) months before slowly returning. Then, in 2022 the organization began the process of returning to hot daily meal service and heavy recruiting to fill many volunteer openings as some did not return to volunteer service. This is a tremendous challenge and one we are still trying to achieve. Presently, 164 volunteers are needed to be fully staffed in providing a daily hot meal. We are committed and will continue to work towards accomplishing this goal.
