Mission

Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CISDR) was founded in 1985 to address the growing number of high school dropouts in Dallas and surrounding areas. The mission of Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Currently, CIS Dallas operates in 130 schools in 14 school districts in 8 counties (Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Fannin, Greyson, Hunt, Kaufman and Rains).

Vision

A world where every child, regardless of their economic status, race, gender, orientation, or background are surrounded by a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Goals

1.Offer professional mental health services on public school campuses, where many students do not have access to proper treatment or diagnosis.
2.Hire and train additional program staff to provide services focused on academics, attendance and behavior on additional campuses across North Texas.
3.Continue to reinforce campus partnerships with over 100 community entities to make sure we are able to provide the basic needs support for our students across the region.
