    Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CISDR) was founded in 1985 to address the growing number of high school dropouts in Dallas and surrounding areas. The mission of Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Currently, CIS Dallas operates in 130 schools in 14 school districts in 8 counties (Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Fannin, Greyson, Hunt, Kaufman and Rains).
