Required annual continuing education for all staff and volunteers. 1 staff member participating in intensive 6 month local leadership program. Development of Inclusiveness Committee with community leaders and 5 staff participants. Executive Director serves on state-level board and multiple committees. Program Director serves on local board.

In addition to all areas checked, regularly participate in community events, speak at fairs, to groups, with school districts, etc. Participation in local United Way. Leading a campaign for a community-wide non-profit exhibition day to connect with citizens for opportunities to volunteer, serve on nonprofit boards, find internships and job shadowing for students, and to train donors on assessing nonprofits for financial support. Additionally, partnering with multiple agencies for a community wide book fair for children. Collaborated with numerous agencies on community-wide forums on local challenges such as limited foster families, foster children without places to stay.

Our primary work is to develop a relationship with foster children, visit them at their temporary placements, observe them with parents/siblings, etc. With COVID, we transitioned to utlizing Skpe, Zoom, Facetime, social distancing observations and kept right on going. Court testimonials were done via Zoom. Recruiting was done via social media, with training also via Zoom. We didn't stop and in fact, excelled in recruiting and training volunteers.
