The Rose
Mission
The Rose’s mission is saving lives through quality breast health services, advocacy, and access to care for all. The Rose is a mission-driven organization with a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for everyone regardless of insurance status. Designated by the American College of Radiology as an ACR Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center, it has the latest technology to screen and detect breast cancer in its two physical locations along with the largest mammography fleet in Texas. It is well-positioned in the healthcare ecosystem through its reputation and relationships with patients, individual donors, philanthropic institutions and other healthcare providers. The Rose’s economic model of income generation through serving insured patients to help support services for uninsured patients has been a key strength and contributes to its appeal to funders and supporters.
Vision
Provide a national model for breast health excellence by increasing access to breast services and becoming the most trusted, innovative, and equitable provider in Texas of life-saving diagnostics, regardless of insurance status or income.
Goals
- 1.Implement our three-year strategic plan. Our focus includes partnerships and other collaborative relationships, expanding current reach with programs and services, increasing staff by attracting highly qualified and compassionate employees, increasing overall awareness and visibility of The Rose and its services, and maintain financial stability in earned income and fund development.
- 2.Optimize our Radiology Information System (RIS) that went live on August 5, 2025. This system gives us the ability to offer diagnostic services on our Mobile Mammography Coaches, which we currently plan to start offering diagnostic mammograms by the end of September 2026. This goal also falls within our overall strategic plan and is a high-priority.
- 3.Purchase a new Mobile Coach to serve additional patients through Mobile, increase the number of patients reach in underserved areas and offer new services on the Mobile Coach, including diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds.
