Vision

Battleship Texas Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving, restoring, and operating Battleship Texas, the last surviving dreadnought battleship and the only remaining battleship to have served in both World War I and World War II. Since 2020, the Foundation has operated the ship on behalf of the State of Texas. The Foundation is leading a once in a generation effort to transform Battleship Texas into a world class museum and educational destination that honors American courage, service, innovation, and sacrifice. With her restoration and permanent relocation to Pier 15 in Galveston, Battleship Texas will offer immersive exhibits, educational programs, and engaging experiences while welcoming an anticipated 280,000 visitors annually. The Foundation's vision is to establish Battleship Texas as America's premier floating museum, inspiring generations through history, education, innovation, and the enduring legacy of those who served.
