Los Padres Forest Association Inc.

Mission

Founded in 1979, the Los Padres Forest Association is an official non-profit 501(c)(3) partner of the Los Padres National Forest. Their mission is to care for the Los Padres Forest, ensuring it thrives and remains safe and open for the people to use and enjoy. LPFA and their volunteers plan and lead dozens of trail maintenance trips each year, ranging from day trips in the Santa Barbara Frontcountry, to 10+ day long "working vacations" deep in the Los Padres backcountry. They also provide educational presentations, volunteer wilderness training events, up-to-date trail and forest information, and the sale of books, maps and other forest-related items at Forest Service District Ranger Offices.
