Family Giving Tree

Mission

Founded in 1990, the Family Giving Tree's mission is to connect those who can give to those in need with educational support, gifts, and volunteerism. We partner with more than 500 schools, service agencies, and nonprofits, such as homeless shelters, community centers, rehabilitation houses, and various charitable organizations to stage two major drives each year. The Holiday Wish Drive matches exact wishes for children, families, and seniors from low-income households in the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding communities. Our Back to School Drive provides backpacks filled with school supplies to students in our communities. In December 2021, Family Giving Tree served its two millionth recipient.
