Mission

LATINITAS IS DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING GIRLS TO INNOVATE USING MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY, PROVIDING DIRECT DIGITAL MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY TRAINING AND ESTEEM-BOOSTING SERVICES TO 3,000 GIRLS AND TEENS ACROSS TEXAS ANNUALLY, 2,000 IN CENTRAL TEXAS AND 1,000 MORE IN WEST AND SOUTH TEXAS.

1.1 in 5 U.S. kids are LatinX. The need and demand for Latinitas' culturally relevant and inclusive STEAM/STEM education programs is at the forefront of our growth.
2.Latinitas was founded in a class in 2002 by two students eager for increased representation of Latinas and other women of color in media and tech. We continue to build out the support system to do so.
3.Latinitas has leaned into its cultural competency since its origin to attract students others can't with culturally relevant executive, board and program leadership, lessons and approach.
