CIMWI is committed to One Health, an integrated approach for human, animal, and environmental health. CIMWI envisions a future where marine mammals thrive in healthy ocean ecosystems, communities are actively engaged in ocean stewardship, and the next generation of scientists and conservationists are inspired by our work - ensuring a resilient, biodiverse planet for all life.​

Goals

1. 1.Rescue & Rehabilitate Marine Mammals: Respond rapidly to reports of sick, injured, malnourished, entangled, and oiled marine mammals, delivering expert veterinary care and rehabilitation to maximize survival and support ocean health.
2. 2.Conduct Research & Data Collection: Conduct research and collect and analyze data for scientific discovery, to improve treatment protocols, and contribute to tracking and assessment of marine mammal and ecosystem health.
3. 3.Strengthen Education & Public Engagement: Develop and deliver K-6 ocean stewardship curriculum, classroom lessons, and community outreach to inspire conservation-minded youth and educate diverse coastal communities.
