Mission

To promote the improvement of services to children, youth, and families by developing and making available to the community training and education services that promote quality child and youth care practices; researching professional practices of child and youth care practitioners; and entering into cooperative agreements and memberships with other entities to promote the goals of the corporation. The Academy focus on workforce development leading to CYC Certification is widely recognized by employers and practitioners. as a significant resource in addressing the current workforce crisis in child and youth services. Our high school vocational programs and CYC apprenticeships are creating new ways for people to learn about and join the child and youth care profession.
