Mission

Raising a Reader Massachusetts is an evidence-based early literacy organization that helps families of young children (birth to age 6) develop, practice, and maintain home-based literacy routines. Our mission is to end the literacy opportunity in Massachusetts by helping families develop high-impact home reading routines that allow caregivers to be active participants in their child’s education, impacting success in school and beyond.
